The jilted wife of Manchester United star Anthony Martial has branded his new lover ‘disgusting’ after the footballer ended weeks of speculation by confirming their relationship across social media.
Samantha Jacquelinet, who has a daughter with Martial, lashed out at reality TV star Melanie Da Cruz on Sunday, claiming she intentionally targeted the footballer – a £58 million purchase for United in 2015 – despite knowing he was not single.
She told The Sun:
‘I asked her to stay away from him when we were having some problems and she agreed that she would. But she wasn’t true to her word. She claims it’s not just about sex with them – it’s love.
‘I will never be friends with Melanie, her behaviour has been disgusting.’
Martial is understood to have ended his four-year marriage with Samantha over the summer after falling for the French TV star, a regular on French show Les Anges.
But it was this week that the couple reportedly confirmed their romance in a brief Snapchat video after previously suggesting they were together in a series of posts taken during a recent holiday in Greece.
She said suspicion were raised after Martial began regularly watching the popular show before noticing mysterious new numbers on his mobile phone.
The situation came to a head when the footballer blocked her number while on international duty with France at Euro 2016.
‘When he came home he was really cold and said I had been getting on his nerves and he didn’t want to be with me any more,’ she recalled.
Samantha, 23, has since warned that Melanie, who grew up in the same Paris suburb as Martial, will not be given an opportunity to see her daughter with the footballer –14-month old Toto.
‘I’ll never let her be a part of my little girl’s life,’ she added.
Martial was previously accused of cheating on childhood sweetheart Samantha with former X Factor contestant Emily Wademan, 24, in a Paris hotel room.
Emily, who has appeared on The X Factor three times, told The Sun on Sunday the Frenchman took her to dinner at restaurant Pershing Hall before heading back to Sofitel Hotel, where rooms go for £250-per-night.
‘He said he didn’t normally drink but I persuaded him to have a few. We took a picture of ourselves at the restaurant.
‘Back at the hotel we started kissing on the bed and I did tell him I wasn’t that kind of girl. He was a passionate lover and he complimented me on my lips and my body.’
Prior top their split Martial, a Catholic, had spoken of of how he liked to come home to his wife after training.
He became an instant fans’ favourite at Old Trafford after joining the Red Devils last summer and making an instant impact by scoring a wonder-goal on his Premier League début against Liverpool.
