NEWS: 2 AUN (ABTI) Students Shot Dead by Armed Robbers Kilometres Away From School

Tragedy occurred at the American University of Nigeria, Yola, Adamawa State, at the weekend, as armed robbers killed two students of the institution.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Communication, for the university, Mr Vincent Nwobodo, a copy of which was made available to us, the two students identified as Messrs Levi Nyat Yusuf and Abaagu Charles were killed at a Suya spot located near Jimeta main market in Yola.
Commenting on the incident, the president of the institution, Dr Margee Ensign, lamented the death of the duo, adding that their family members had since been contacted by the university authority.
According to her, the students were attacked and killed by armed robbers on Sunday night of September 4 at a suya spot near the Jimeta main market in Yola, the state capital.
The Jimeta market is about 14 kilometres away from the main campus of the American University of Nigeria.
She said: “Details of the incident, which led to the sudden death of the two students, are still scanty but the Adamawa Police Command is investigating the matter.”
