AN ITV news reporter has raised eyebrows after he appeared to touch the leg of a female pundit live on air.

Social media erupted after footage showed Washington correspondent Robert Moore supposedly putting his hand on the woman’s thigh.

The pair were asked a question about Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s comments regarding American war hero Senator John McCain.

As Moore moves his left hand towards the woman, she suddenly moves around and looks at him.

However, some eagle-eyed users have suggested that the journalist was merely fixing the ‘talk back’ controls of his ear piece – which are located under the desk.

But some users have slammed the reporter’s bizarre behaviour.

Footage of the incident was posted by music composer Tony Lewis – whose credits include critically-acclaimed Bond movie Skyfall.

In his Twitter post, Lewis said; “What the hell just happened here??

“Was it me or did ITVs Washington corresp just have a quick leg feel of Southampton uni lady!?!”

One commenter posted: “She looks like she’s prob going to slap him!”

Another added: “Her face is priceless.”

However, one user said that Moore was simply fiddling with the volume controls under the desk.

He posted: “Most likely changing the volume levels of the talk back in his earpiece. There’s usually controls under the desk.”
